PlayStation Visual Arts Service Group was tasked with work close with Naughty Dog to recreate levels to a much higher quality with the newer generation tech. As an incoming Material Artist I worked in partnership with the environment modelers as well as Javier my lead to learn the proprietary tools and engine to create materials that could be used to texture the area. My responsibilities included the creation and adaptation of textures and shaders, vertex blending, and UV mapping, as well as other general tasks noted by Leads and Art Direction. This was a collaborative effort, so a lot of the assets and textures are from Naughty Dog's pre-existing library.
